I am married to David Sergent and co chair of this site. We have had a wonderful time meeting people and discovering our history. I am thankful for each person who helps us with this major undertaking. To remember who we are as a people instead of what they say that we are.

Annie Belle Fields Adams

Born December 11, 1900, in Bluefield, West Virginia. Died June 30, 1971, in Pikeville, Kentucky. Married William Mitchell (Chub) Adams April 17, 1917, in Norton, Virginia.
She is buried on Number 2 Hill in Burdine, Kentucky
She is a third generation American and the daughter of Isacc Newton Fields and Alice Stutts parents

Ruby Wilma Adams Addington (my Grandmother)
Jack Dempsey Adams
Joe Douglas Adams

Went to work for Consol and wrote Script at the Number 3 Store in Gaskill, (Number 3 Jenkins, Kentucky). She went to work there after the death of William (Chub). During World War II she worked in the cafeteria at Glenn L Martin in Baltimore Md.

The dress she is wearing cost around $100.00 which in today’s market would be worth approximately $1,255.54.
